Why is combing hair important?
Combing hair stimulates the scalp and is a great way to help regulate oil production in the hair follicles. It helps loosen and remove dead skin cells that could clog the pores of the scalp and block the follicles, which can cause other irritations and problems. In order to get the best benefit, this should be done prior to shampooing the hair.

Stimulating the scalp through combing helps to promote circulation on the scalp. The increased circulation regulates the scalp temperature and moisture levels, and that in turn can slow down the production of sweat as well as distributing the oils produced in the follicles along the hair shaft.

Just remember to make sure you don't press to hard with the comb, until you scratch your scalp.

Shampoo & Rinse
Hot Water, Warm Water or cold? It is highly recommended that you should wash your hair in warm water to help remove dirt and build-up, and rinse in cool water to close the cuticle and add shine.
Hair Wash Tips: Wash your hair step-by-step
  • Step 1: Spread the lather quickly throughout your hair, leave on for several seconds, comb through, then rinse with warm to cold water.

  • Step 2: Before wash, massage scalp gently to relieve tension and promote blood circulation.

  • Step 3: Wet hair thoroughly with warm water.

  • Step 4: Squeeze a small amount of BioTHIK™ Scalp Cleansing Foam onto the palm of your hand, apply foam evenly on the hair. (Compared to shampoo, foam is distributed easily amongst hairs and does not require lathering)

  • Step 5: Massage foam into scalp with fingertips, add water at discretion, but do not apply too much water as this will lessen the lather.

  • Step 6: Spread the lather quickly throughout your hair, leave on for several seconds, comb through, then rinse with warm to cold water.

  • Step 7: The final step is to gently comb the hair with a wide-tooth comb.
